Wittmackia neoregelioides

Out of Stock

A clone of this rare stoloniferous miniature species from Bahia, Brazil that was collected by Chester Skotak near Dario Meira, the locality where Neo. rothinessa is native. It little resembles other more familiar members of the genus, instead resembling a Neoregelia as its name implies.

Forming a ten inch tall, tubular rosette with narrow outer leaves and wide inner leaves, that looks superficially like a green Neo. wilsoniana. The lilac flowers are widely flaring, nested in the center. A true novelty that appears not to be in cultivation though it was described by Leme in 1999.
