Tillandsia zacapanensis

Out of Stock

A fantastic new species described only in 2010 from Depto. Chiquimula, Guatemala. A lithiphytic, cliff dwelling species that closely resembles the familiar Tillandsia xerographica in foliage, shape and size. The inflorescence is quite different though, a cluster of upright branches, two to five, each about 6 inches long with pink bracts and violet flowers. Not much is known about this exciting new species except from cultivation. It has proven easy to grow, favoring bright light with good air circulation, much like most other Tillandsias with gray leaves.
