A notable species from the area of Pedra Azul, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Thick red-burgundy foliage with heavy scurfing on the underside turns cherry red in strong light, especially with cool temps. The inflorescence is tall, with a red scape and long bracts, green floral bracts and sepals and white petals. It produces pups on the inflorescence after blooming.
