Neoregelia species stoloniferous Colombia

Out of Stock

This is an unidentified species of Neoregelia collected by Jeffery Kent in Colombia.  Typical of Hylaeaicum Neoregelias which are all native to the Amazon Basin or Amazon slopes of the Andes, they are typically stoloniferous epiphytes with spiny leaves and tightly compressed central inflorescences of white flowers.

This plant could be one of the eleutheropetala, rosea or meeanum group and likely is.  It grows to about 12 to 16 inches across with very spiny leaves with a lavender-pink center flush at anthesis and offsets produced on stolons.
