Neoregelia pendula v. brevifolia

Out of Stock

The best of all the Amazonian Neoregelias, a little flask-shaped plant with a cherry red center, growing on two foot stolons. A superb hanging basket plant. Imagine a cascading cluster of these little jewels, truly a sight to behold. Unlike many Neos, thrives on frequent fertilization and abundant watering. Size can vary greatly with the amount of water and feeding, growing quite small and tight when grown hard and very long leaved and luxuriant when fed heavily. This clone came from the type locality in Pastaza, Ecuador and has the accession number of SEL1982-0149 of the Marie Selby Botanical Garden.
