Hohenbergia pennae

Out of Stock

This clone of Hohenbergia pennae was obtained in Brazil by Wally Berg some years ago and he called this clone ‘Super Select’ because of its shape and color. Native to Bahia, Brazil, the plants have the basic shape of bottle of Chianti wine; bulbous at the bottom, constricted at the neck and flaring at the top. The color is tannish-green, darkening with age and suffused with dark spots. The inflorescence is a rose colored scape with many compound branches with flowers that are basically greenish with purple petals. A choice clone with a little history.
