This species is also known as Weberocerus bradei, a rare epiphytic cacti from the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica. A very unusual epiphyte with very broad, segmented stems over a foot long and six inches wide, bluish-green with stout but fine, single spies at the areoles along the wavy margins. Erect at first then pendant, it produces stout roots at the internodes as supports. The flowers are nocturnal, fairly large and white, sepals are reddish. Flowers may abort without sufficient humidity. Grows well in an epiphytic or well drained mix, kept warm in winter and out of direct sun.
