Canistrum triangulare

Out of Stock

Certainly one of the best ‘collectable’ species of the genus. This species from the moist Atlantic slopes of the mountains in Espirito Santo, Brazil is the southernmost occurring Canistrum. Small growing, rarely over 12 inches, in a full rosette of fairly stiff, broadly triangular leaves, heavily marked with dark blackish mottling over light green and bearing heavy black spines on the margins. Stoloniferous, it is a good plant for mounting or for hanging basket culture. Very handsome! A tulip-shaped inflorescence is, rose-red and white. Not common in collections.
