Out of Stock

A species of the states of Permanbuco and Alagoas in northeastern Brazil where it grows as and epiphyte or terrestrial resting and Atlantic Forest habitats. Incredibly it was first shown in an illustration back in 1648 in Polish publication. Today, surprisingly, it is rare in collections. A medium-large plant with an upright funnelform rosette shape of stiff, broad, green leaves mottled with darker green. The inflorescence is a stout panicle with tripinnate branches except at the apex which is bipinnate. The ovaries are pale green and the sepals are light yellow with yellow flowers. Scape bracts are broad and bright red. Rather showy and long lasting.
