Out of Stock

A denizen of the Amazon forests of Venezuela to Bolivia where it forms colonies on exposed trees and becomes home to a variety of local wildlife.  The plants are rather large, growing to over 30 inches, somewhat bottle-shaped at the base and exceedingly spiny.  Long black spines decorate the leaf margins and the inflorescence, which is a rather cone-shaped spike.  A good, hardy landscape bromeliad.
