Hechtia malvernii

Out of Stock

This is an obscure species from Guatemala and Honduras that has been in the past confused with H. guatemalensis. It is quite similar in most aspects, but the inflorescence is red as opposed to green or tan. We have found this plant in the wild in Honduras, but our clone came to us from the collection of the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens with the accession number of SEL2001-0386 and originated in Guatemala. It remains a very rare plant in cultivation.
