Neoregelia 'Red Planet’
An interesting grex of hybrids by Australian hybridizer Margaret Patterson. Her cross of ‘Happy Thoughts’ x ‘Meyendorffii’ must have been outstanding, because many cultivars were named. The plants are medium sized growers, to about 20–24in across. The leaves are deep to shiny red, some with light green cross banding or spotting and centers that flush bright red when in bloom.
