Tillandsia araujei Native to the sugarloafs of southeastern Brazil. Easy to cultivate, it forms large cascading clusters. Short stiff yellow-green leaves on a long stem. Lovely white flowers and rose colored bracts are produced on an extended scape.

Tillandsia capitata 'Hondurensis' Somewhat resembles a Til. brachycaulos in size and shape but is more a grayish-green. The entire plant flushes pink or peach when in bloom. $4.00 #792T

Tillandsia ionantha 'Rubra'  A choice Guatemalan form that grows vase-shaped, with the leaf tips curving outward. Rather large for an ionantha, at about 3in. Light green, blushing brilliant red in bloom. Very nice form.

Tillandsia ixioides x tenuifolia A small plant with grayish silver leaves in an upright rosette. It is clustering and has a short scape with bright pink bracts and yellowish flowers.

Tillandsia juncea 'Stolonifera' A small, green-leaved form which grows on short stolons, forming attractive clumps. Needle-like leaves to 10in long tint red in sun. A nice easy species from Central America.

Tillandsia pseudobaileyi A stiff plant with twisty, 10in wire-like leaves that form an inch thick pseudobulb. The inflorescence is branched and pink. An easy grower from Mexico and Central America that forms a large clump in time.

Tillandsia x rectifolia (ionantha x schiedeana) A natural hybrid from Mexico and Central America, with short leaves in a strict upright rosette. Silvery leaves flush pinkish when in bloom. The short scape produces two-tone purple and white flowers.

Tillandsia tectorum x paleacea A cute little caulescent plant about 6in long, with 2in fuzzy silver leaves. A very prolific, fast-grower, producing many offsets and forming clumps fairly quickly. The scape is about 6in long with purple flowers.

Tillandsia tenuifolia ‘Gray Leaf Form’ A saxicolous Brazilian species with stiff, recurved, gray-green leaves. The short scape has deep pink bracts and white flowers.
