Neoregelia leviana
A
nifty little species from the Amazon region where it grows as a
stoloniferous epiphyte. The plant varies, depending on age from a
seedling, starting out almost grassy, then growing ever fatter and
compact with maturity and with further generations. The mature leaves
are short, triangular, fairly succulent, spiny and flush purple at
