Collector’s Corner …

Polyradicion lindenii The famed ‘Ghost Orchid’, gem of the leafless orchids and among the rarest of the native Florida orchids. This outstanding plant is entirely leafless, consisting of a radiating cluster of greenish roots with tiny white stripes. The roots hug the substrate, pop-ash and pond apple in nature and any suitable driftwood in cultivation. Beautiful, long-lasting, large white flowers are borne in succession, each up to 6in or more, with short petals and sepals and a massive lip, bearing two ‘legs’, several inches long and a very long spur.
